why would the "voters" drop them below LSU. They are the ones that put them at fourth knowing they wouldn't even play for the conference. If LSU can go from number 1 to number 7 back to number 2 all in 2 weeks by simply losing to arkansas and then beating a struggling tennessee. maybe they should go ahead and declare them the national champion now for the next 5 years and save alot of people a headache

Well for your information UGA did win the division but only the tie-breaker kept them out of the championship game with LSU which everyone knows LSU was happy they played TN and not UGA cause the outcome would have been different. Secondly the way the systems is it should be OSU vs UGA as the top teams failed to win and therefor 3 and 4 move up to 1 and 2 now. But either way the BCS is full of BS and the two best teams won't even be playing for the National Championship either way. OSU is not one of the best teams out there playing ball right now and shouldn't be going but thats the BCS for you.
GO DAWGS!!! No matter where UGA plays in the BCS they will win and we all know that OSU doesn't want to play UGA cause hell they couldn't even beat UF last year so what makes you think they can play with the level of an SEC Team ....GO DAWGS!!!

Did I miss something? UGA didn't even play in their own conference championship, meaning that there are at least two SEC teams that deserve to be there before UGA.
Unfortunately, I think you have to give undefeated Hawaii a chance here, even though they play an absolutely easy schedule. I don't think any team has really distinguished itself in college football this year. USC, OSU, LSU, West Virginia, Mizzou, Oklahoma, Oregon, Kansas, and Arizona State have all been good, but none have been great. I think we really need to think about a playoff system instead of this BCS nonsense for Division I football. Give each of the eleven conferences an automatic bid (conference champion), and fill out the field with five at-large bids. My system would have the following teams in the playoff:
Big 12: Oklahoma
Big 10: OSU
SEC: LSU
ACC: Virginia Tech
Big East: West Virginia
Conference USA: UCF
Mountain West: BYU
Pac 10: USC
WAC: Hawaii
Mid America: Bowling Green
Sun Belt: Troy
At large: Missouri, Georgia, BC, Kansas, and Arizona State.

Agreed! The only argument against UGA is that they didn't win the SEC East. Well, the voters knew last week that they didn't win it, but still ranked them #4. So, when #1 and #2 lose, they should move up. They can't help it that they have play in the toughest conference in the nation.

Explain to us then how Georgia didn't even win their division and therefore didn't play in the conference championship game. Your theory would reward them for finishing in second place, and jump two teams who finished ahead of them in the SEC. Not only that, Georgia lost to South Carolina who is now unranked and got hammered by Tennessee, barely beat Troy and struggled mightily with Vanderbilt too. They are right where they should be. LSU also lost two games but their two losses were both in triple overtime. And on a side note, unless you go to UGA, stop using "we".

Unfortunately the voters will probably vote UGA down in the polls to make it hard for them to be able to move up to number 2. The voters will look at how they didn't even win the SEC East let alone the SEC Championship. They'll probably play in the Rose or Sugar Bowl. It's not a bad consolation playing in a BCS bowl.

Here is my argument against OSU and Georgia..
OSU haven't play any one that are ranked in top 20 and their schedule is weak...
Georgia is better team but they can't win their SEC conference So do you think they are better than LSU?

I'll talk about unfair Hawaii the only undefeated in div-1 I can tell your a Georgia a fan but they did'nt even play in their confernce Honestly I love to watch Georgia play with young stars like stafford but they lost twice I know Hawaii hasn't played anybody but this year hasn't unranked teams like Hawaii played beaten top 10 teams. It should be ...................
Hawaii vs Kansas
Ohio state lost to illinois
Kansas to mizzou
Mizzou beat the Illini
AND the best records shuld play
