it is harder and harder these days for a reputable seller to make any money, with all the fees and scammers on e-bay. It's not like several years ago when you could make a good second income from the site. The ebay market has become over saturated with sellers and I don't think most people are making the money they used to see.

If you have legitimate stuff to sell that people are interested in, then you can make money (ebay is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, hon, so it's real. Nuff said?). On a whim, I sold dead batteries that someone actually bought, but can't seem to be able to sell hard-to-find light bulbs and janitorial supplies! Go figure! And, no, I'm not rich from ebay! As a matter of fact, after about 3 years, I'm about $50 in the "hole" thanks to various fees and no bids! Unfortunately, there are scammers on ebay, as there are on virtually every such buy-and-sell/auction site, so you have to watch out, but that's what the "feedback" is supposed to help with (unfortunately, those can be scammed, too, thanks to "insiders" and friends of the scammer who post phony positive feedbacks; conversely, "negative" feedback can be phony, too).
