Why do people ask questions if they're not prepared to accept answers that they may not like?
it's called personal choice and having the right to express an opinion.
There isn't a category on here (yet) called 'Answer only if you agree with me'.
All questions require an answer unless it was a rant and not actually a question in the first place..............

You may not like the question but everyone is entitled to answer it as they may feel they are getting their point over. Okay some may do it for the points if they are saddos but most I would say genuinely answer as they think what the poster of it is saying is wrong and want to have their say.

my question to you is how do you know they dislike the question. everyone is entitled to answer any way they want with-in the guidelines. just because you may not like the answers does not mean the other person does not like the question. In addition, all questions deserve answers even those not liked so to that I say, lighten up and enjoy the holiday cheer.

So are you saying that people should only answer questions if they agree with the questioner? If so, what's the point of asking the question?

People pose questions because they want them answered. That's exactly what the answerer does by giving the questioner what he wants, regardless of whether they like the questions or not.

that way you get a true cross section of answers if you only got people who agree with you that wouldn't happen

To one answerer, your reply is cold. Oh, so cold.
Guess people answer questions they don't like to vent. It also keeps the keyboard manufacturers in business when people get angry and break the keys.
