football, yes, baseball, no....bo jackson was the greatest all round athlete i've ever seen play sports...some fans might remember him running over the seattle seahawks' prized defensive back brian bosworth on his way to piling up around 200+ yards rushing in that monday night game...what a performance...
in baseball, bo could hit it a mile and had an arm like ichiro or vlad guerrero, but, alas, he wasn't HOF material....
he also made some really great "bo knows" commercials for nike...

Not in baseball, no. He was a stunning talent with amazing strengths, but also a flawed talent with significant weaknesses.
He came back, I think, mostly to prove that he could. The money was pretty good too. But, even without the football injury, I think he would have gotten bored after 12 years, finished with 300-350 homers, 200 stolen bases, 350 walks, and 2000 strikeouts. High career K totals are no barrier to the Hall, but it does indicate something about the player that needs other positives for counterbalance. Jackson wouldn't have had enough.
The notion of Bo on steroids as the 1990s marched forward -- oh my goodness.......
Football's Hall, I have no idea.

The Football HOF...he was a good Baseball player who was still developing.
But IMO Bo Jackson was probably one of the Greatest Athletes the US ever produced...He was in the Jim Thorpe class!

If Bo played just the one sport baseball/football he might have gotta into the Hall in either or....... in baseball he was liked so much he wouldve been Voted to 15 all star games and if he hit 25-30 90 rbis and .280 avg for 15 yrs ( 350 HRs 1200 rbis 0.280 avg and 15 all-star teams gets u hall fame.......as for NFL there isnt much doubt in ANYONE minds that if Bo played 10 yrs hed be hall-fame ,probabaly 8 1200 yd yrs and maybe close to 2000 couple times ...he is/was OUTSTANDING tailback and a VERY good 5 tool baseball player...so i say YES if he stayed at 1 he'd be in the HALL

In football its almost certain he would have been HOFer. He was incredible. But baseball he was an overachiever. He was way better then anyone expected, but not HOF quality. Part of greatness in baseball is longevity, and Jackson would never have played that many years without being entirely focused on baseball.

there have been many players along with bo that have had their careers ended early by injury. no one will ever know where they would have stood at the end of their careers.
i'm pretty sure he is in the college football hall of fame though.

I think that he probably would have. He was an incredible player in both sports and probably could have been on of the best ever in either sport if he stuck to just one of them. He was able to adapt to play two entirely different sports. I believe that he could have been a Hall of Famer if he didn't get hurt.

Without question Bo would have a bust in Canton...even more so if he had ever decided to dedicate himself full-time to football. My fave moment was the night he ran over Boz...but also in that game he had a 91-yard touchdown run where he went full-speed into the tunnel.
