Found on road dead AKA FORD, their vehicles have caught on fire for no reason and even killed a mans wife! i would never drive a ford i dont care if they have the best selling truck, its not worth your life. they have to be the worse since their vehicles have destroyed homes and actually killed a mans wife with fire. BUICK just tied with LEXUS in the JD power and associates as the most reliable car in 2007, lexus had been alone at the top on reliability ratings for last 12 years years but buick tied with them this year. all the new GM cars are reliable though with 100,000 mile warranty's. among other american makes in the top 5 were Cadillac and Mercury

Every single company has had their goods and bads.

Right now Ford is actually at the top in reliability and quality, but they were in the middle to bottom only 5 years ago (theyre perceived quality has not caught up with reality yet).

Honda and Toyota are the opposite, they are on the way down in reliability but perception still goes in their favor.

Hyundai and Kia are also making very reliable cars right now, but werent only a few years ago.

Chevy and Nissan are both doing poorly in reliability, but both are making gains, so that will likely not be the case in a couple years.

The only consistent low has been Mercedes. They make the least reliable cars in the US and have done so for years.
BMW seems eager to join them in that occasionally, then will redeem themselves. Chrysler was making junk, but theyve learned that if you only make 4 cars and just rebadged them 20 times its much easier to make them reliable--theyre still being held down by their parent (Mercedes) though.

How can Mercury be among the most reliable (it and Lincoln are usualy high up) then Ford be the worst for quality? It makes no sense. Every single Mercury is a rebadged Ford right now, some are also identical to Mazda models. They arent built elsewhere or redone for better quality (as is done with Lincolns), they roll off the assembly line beside the Fords and get different badges.

At one time the VERY worst car was the Yugoslovian made Yugo. My friend had one and the body had so much flex that when going around a corner, the doors would pop loose and swing open. How's that for embarrassing?

Each car company will have its share of junk cars out there. The first one that came to mind was the new KIA when they first came out it was junk. but they are now getting better. The best in my opinion is the rolls Royce of course.
