We are expecting a major storm to hit the northeast this evening. Just concerned about you people to the west of us!

East Tennessee is unprepared for any major storms....cause we do not have them often! Once back in '93 we had a blizzard......We had 3 feet of snow.......
Okay....I gave you a pause to stop laughing.....Anyway....I was pulling a double shift at a group home for mentally ill adults and was stuck there alone with them for 3 days before they could get any relief in to me....That was the loooooooooooooongest 3 days of my life....and when I got home I slept for 17 straight hours....

I remember the big one that hit in March 1966 it was pretty bad we had to dig ourselves out of our houses,snow drifts over the living room window.Then there was the one in1986 50cm of snow.Everything closed for 2days.That was Nov.7/8.Then April 6/7 1997 50cm again and everything was closed for a day the storm lasted 11hrs.

I agree with Gem. I am surprised she still has some sanity. peace Gem! In southern Illinois we had several inches a few years ago. We own a four wheel drive, and had to go to grandmothers for our Christmas family get together. We let both of our Son's hang onto the tail gate of the truck and ski in their shoes and nice clothes on our way back home. Tore a few holes in their trousers, but what the heck, they had a blast!

I am in Montana pretty good snow fall here but nothing terrible I will give you a star though maybe you will get more answers

Well, I am going to work in the morning and after work, probably go out out and maybe play on the slip n slide with my kids. LOL

We dont get snow in our town, I didnt realise it could get that bad. Be safe everyone :)
