Although I'm finding a lot of variants of this online, it seems to be a prehistoric tomb or monument consisting of several large upright stones and a capstone, perhaps surrounding a mound. The term seems to come from the Welsh term for bent flagstones.

It's a megalith, though the term isn't used much any more.

I think it's an ancient Celtic place of worship, similar to a wiccan circle of power. A gathering place made from flagstones layed in a circular fashion, for rituals and prayer.
