Have you ever seen a ghost ?

if so who was it and where did it scare you ?

Yes, I have. Growing up my family lived in an old house. One night my mother and I both saw a elderly gentleman sitting in a chair and smoking a pipe. He smiled at us and then we didn't see him again. We did continue to smell the pipe smoke and sometimes we would smell lilacs. Neither of us were scared.

A year ago last October I was working in a house which was four old cottages knocked into one .The ceiling was down and the floorboards were removed ie. I was standing on the joists. One other chap was in the building .
Someone or something dressed in either light green or yellow walked along the hall under my feet and into a room which had no other exit.I was down there like a shot because a lot of valuable tools were there . No one was to be seen .
The other chap said that the place was reputed to be haunted by the lady who used to live in the last cottage.
I was not spooked but convinced that I had seen something .I am also of an age not prone to imagination.

I guess you would call it a ghost. When I went to Willamsburg for a school field trip we went on a ghost tour. We went into this room and they were telling us this ghost story and we heard all of these noises upstairs. Then we went outside of the Governor's Palace and I turned around and saw all of these light go on and off upstairs and the tour guide said that ghost turn on the lights on and off in the Governor's Palace.

Ten years ago me and my wife went to her parents house,we rang the door bell,and somebody ran down the stairs in a dark red top,which you could see through the frosted glass of the door,we waited for someone to open the door,but nobody came,then all of a sudden her mum and sisters turned up behind us,her mum opened the door and i went in first just in case there was an intruder,there was no one in the house,and no sign of a break in,it took 2 months before my wife would go back in that house,it shook us both up cuz we both shared the experiance.

We bought a cottage some years ago over 200years old. I was in the back bedroom doing work and sensed someone watching me. An old man was stood in the doorway, he smiled I asked what he wanted he smiled again and disappeared. Describing what I saw to a lady nearby, giving a description of him she immediatley said, thats Arnott, he died about 20 years ago.The next time he appeared was with his dog. A number of people have seen Arnott when visiting us. He's a lovely old man. My daughter took a picture of me in the kitchen one day. on developing, who appeared to be in the background but Arnott. Not scary at all.

Yes,I was driving down a road at dusk and saw a cyclist infront of me, just as I passed him he vanished, I seriously thought he had fell over onto the grass verge.
I said to my daughter who was up front with me
'Look at him, he came from nowhere' She couldn't see him at all!
It didn't scare me because he looked real.
A couple of days later a work collegue told me that a cyclist was killed on that stretch of road, six years before.

I felt a little strange after that.

Not really, but I once saw someone who looked so like my recently deceased grandfather, I thought I was going to faint. I thought he'd come back to haunt us! lol
Although I haven't seen one, I'm quite sure I've heard them & felt the effects of their presence.
After my dad died I'm sure he was in my office one day reading the papers. There was no one there apart fromthe 3 of us at the desk & I could hear the leafing of the newspaper at the other side of the room.
It freaked my colleague out no end!

No, I have heard one several times. At a place that I worked at, I used to hear what sounded like a child giggling, It wasn't a thing that scared me, I was more curious than anything else. Several other people had heard it.

Ok im not sure if i did BUT in my house like last month when i was walking to my room i looked into my brothers old room and the lights were off so i went to look in and it looked like the darkness was like slowly moving towards me so i freaked out and turned the lights on and its like the darkness like ran to the closet im not joking either it was freaky so now i always close that door befor i go to sleep. But im gonna start to leave it open every now and then

I saw a scary dark figure once it was trying to get my attention but i was really scared and got a bad feeling i never saw it again but i'd like to have known what it was trying to tell me.
