I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Video Card with 128 Mb. The max res is 2048x1536 (supposedly). I just got an HP w2207. How do I setup the video to go to the HP optimum res of 1680x1050. The video setting seems to be maxed out at 1280x960. I'm using DVI connections.

1280x960 is the "native" resolution of your HP w2207 LCD monitor.

Unlike CRT monitors, this setting can't be changed (safely).

So, you're stuck with that resolution and refresh rate (60HZ), and a better graphics card won't help much, except for frame rates, etc.

RTFM.
