Red for fast and blue for slow because I'd associate blue with passivity and red with action. Blue is a receding colour and red is a colour that pushes forward (in painting) Also blue is mostly a cool colour and red a warm colour which again have the associations of action and passivity.
Good question, I hope that helps.

Hmmm...
Fast would likely be something bright and vibrant like red, orange or yellow. I think these colors would work for fast because they are colors that make one feel alert and active... not always in a good way, but alert and active nonetheless.
For slow, I would say blue, gray, maybe green. These colors provoke more of a relaxed feeling... they make one want to slow down and enjoy it.

Fast seems like it would be red or a hot kind of color. Slow seems like it would be blue or a cooler color.
