Johan Santan or Jaba / Hughes?? Because if you say Johan, then you better understand why a trade for the best pitcher in baseball is worth giving up an unproven prospect.

i don't get understand why people got so crazy about prospects. If you have the chance to trade a prospect for a proven winner why don't you it?? That prospect might end up being a big time bust. Anyways to answer your question i will take Santana, plus i doubt either one of those guys will be more dominate than Santana

I'd give the ball to Santana. He's the best in the game and will be for at least the next 3-4 years. I would definitely trade Jaba for Johan. Top prospects don't always improve. Look at Mark Prior

Of course it is Johan now but the concern is the Yankees giving up too much of their future. Prospects like Jaba and Hughes don't come along every day and careful consideration must be given before you include a top prospect in a trade.

Santana for probably the next 5 years. I don't see much drop off happening in the meantime.

Good analogy. Maybe this will cool off some of the 'prospect marks'.

Considering how stacked the odds are against either of those young guys developing into a mutl-Cy Young award winner, you'd be crazy not to pick Santana.

The Yankees would be crazy to not part with one of those guys if it means getting the best pitcher in baseball, especially considering he's still only 28 years old.

No doubt Johan gets the call. I agree with you whole heartedly. But don't give away the farm.

Santana is a proven dominant starting pitcher. Neither of the other two are even close to demonstrating that. This is a no-brainer.
