Although my (wifi) internet connection is fine, I have not been able to get into mac.com for the past 24 hours, have tried on this computer, on my laptop and on another PC - is there something wrong with it do you know ?

No, the 90 day trial period is long gone. I paid the full price some time ago.

Maybe the 90 day Trial period expired.

Did you pay for DOTmac? If so, call Apple Tech support.
