I think a model car kit, or airplaine kit would be quite a creative present to buy.

My husband is really into video games, so for our first Christmas, I gave him a few video games. I've also bought him things like a ring with my name engraved on it, a cell phone, and clothes (hoodies and sports jerseys). This year (he's in Afghanistan right now) I mailed him a stocking that I decorated that was full of candy and also body wash and cologne. I didn't spend a ton on him this year because there's not much he can use in Afghanistan, so I'm going to buy some stuff for a welcome home/happy birthday present.

Do you sew, knit, or crochet? Are you a good cook or baker? Do you paint, sculpt, or sing? Use your talents in the arts to create something for him. Are you good at accounting--offer to do his taxes for him. Are you a good reader? Find an author he likes, then read to him in a romantic setting. Does he have a quirky sense of humor? Make or buy a Christmas card that reflects your understanding of what he finds funny. This may be a good start.

Walgreens makes these picture cutouts, they are different than a normal picture frame. They take a picture and cut around the main subject, making it 3-D and stand alone, it's really cool and different, especially if the picture has alot of places to cut around because it then has a neat shape to it.
They only cost about 10 dollars at walgreens.
here is a link of what they look like:

Not sure how long you've been dating, but you could start a scrapbook. If you have memorabilia of things you've done together, (pics, movie stubs, little notes) you could make a few creative pages to start off your memory book and write little quotes on the pages. They seel great scrapbooking materials at A.C. Moore or your local craft stores.
Hope that helps!

Try putting a couples night togeather! It's where you make a list of stuff you want to do,and switch with your partner, the you have to tell him a story as if you went there! You can go all over the world for free!

If you have a computer go on windows media player or movie maker and make a cd of a storybook of your relationship from beginning to end. It allows you to add songs and sub titles and pictures from you browser it is really cool. Its cheap and very personal and something to cherish.

I know I should be asking this question. I'm not sure what he's into. Maybe a coupon book with free hugs or free... you know whatever. My brother did that for his girlfriend and I thought that was romantic. Other than that, I don't know.
