many ovarian cysts every month? I get quite a few every month, and they have nothing to do with my cycle either. My mom always asks do they come in between periods, but I dunno, because I get so many of them. And ALL OF THEM BURST!!! I think the next time I get one, I'm just gonna say "MOM, need to go to the doctors AGAIN!!!"

But honestly, I'm not even sure if they are ovarian cysts anymore, because I get so many and they hurt so bad, all the time. And it hurts up higher in my stomach than what other people say.

So is it right that I've been getting ovarian cysts since I was THIRTEEN and am now 15??

thanks for any opinions.

no, its not cramps. its a distinct sharp, shooting, pinching pain right on my right side and it goes into my back. and it happens A LOT!! i asked my doctor at my last physical and they said deal with it, some people get it and theres nothing we can do. so that pretty much pissed me off, but the next time i get one, i'm gonna ask my mom to take me.

yeah i was diagnosed with them when i was 13 so every time my stomach hurts like that, they say its an ovarian cyst, and they dont do anything about it. but after getting so many of them, they are just really annoying now.

every woman gets cysts on her ovaries each month its natural. but sometimes they dont burst to let the egg out like theyre supposed to and get bigger. if they then burst at this size they can be dangerous. ive recently been told i could have ovarian cysts, im 19, and im waiting on a scan date to find out. a few weeks back i felt what you described and it was similar to what id expect a 'burst' cyst to feel like. although im not sure it was actually that because i could imagine it would be extremely painful and require staying in hospital? you are very young so you need to get this sorted asap and make sure its nothing more serious. speak to your gp and get them to book you in for a scan, then they can examine everything and see whats going on. if you have them this often it could be PCOS which i may have, although i also have PID from when i was 17 (19 now). make sure you get help asap before it has damaging consequences. good luck and let me know how things go.

What makes you know they are ovarian cysts? Did you have one diagnosed and assume that is what is always happening? No that does not sound right.

There are other female problems that can cause abdominal pain, such an endometriosis. Mine started in my teens. The sharp shooting, pinching pain is how mine used to feel.

A good OB.GYN should be able to help you with a good diagnosis and solution.

You could try taking IBUPROFEN daily to see it it will help with the swelling and inflammation of a cyst or whatever you have going on.

Good Luck.

It could be an STD. I'm not saying it is, so don't freak out but you need to get it checked out. No, it's not normal for you to get Ovarian Cysts every single month and that many of them.

Please, go to the doctor.

There is a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Synsdrome- and it sounds like what you are describing. It sounds alot worse than it is- if your doctor is aware of the cysts in the first place he/she will probably end up prescribing Provera- or another medication that contains proestrogen. See your doctor again and ask about your options...BTW- the pain does subside, stay calm.

what are you talking about?? no, you definitly should not be getting frequent ovarian cysts...and they burst? how do you know its not your period coming twice a month? i think its pretty rare to be getting the occasional ovarian cyst. what happens when they burst? if i felt some shooting pain and then started to bleed like mad id be pretty worried. ya, PLEASE do us all a favor and go to the doc.

No it is not right. Go to the doctor and demand further investigation. Your body is too precious to mess about with, and your future of having children may be in danger if this is not sorted out. Your mother needs to help you and demand action from the doctor.
