At my house we have a blow-up snowman and tons of lights. My stepmom is also obsessed with little holiday toys that sing, so our living room is filled. My aunt and uncle have like 10 blow-ups and tons and tons of lights. They have blinkers set to music! It is cool, but can people over-do it. Have you ever seen a house Over-decorated? Is there such thing as too many decorations?

I dont think there is a such things as too many decorations, as long as they dont look crappy and tacky, and as long as you have enough electricity!!! =)

Near my workplace, a group of families on the same street got together and created a very simple and elegant Xmas display in a common area. They purposely toned down their own homes' displays so that the common display would show up all the better.

In a farming area adjacent to a major highway in my State, there is a small outcropping of rocks with a single, small fir tree growing out of it; it is the only "tree" for miles around. I happened to witness a traveller who had pulled over and was wrapping the tree with a long, silver, tinsel garland.

Simplicity works.
