Why kind of sport takes polls to determine who their champions might be? College football should have a playoffs to determine the champs. Ohio State will play in the championship, and they haven't played a game since the 17th, that is just pathetic.

media bias,$$$$$$$ the big reason, they need to put back sos and ohio would be about 12 but since they dont teams like this can get away with playing weaker teams and still get handed the nc game, being idle so long should hurt them but all it did was back them into it, but hey they won against the weaker teams so ya gotta give it to them, but if all teams had their schedule there would be all the big houses would be undefeated so look at it that way

The BCS has been and continues to be a big joke. In no other collegiate sport is a championship decided in any other way than on the field. Even Division II and III have playoffs and a championship game in football. There is no excuse for not having a playoff system.

So what if they havent played a game since the 17th, they didnt have a bye week like the rest of the nation. They played the same amount of games as everyone else. They have a playoff- it's called the season

I personally think the BCS works in terms of ranking teams, its better than just using one poll alone to decide a champion, but in terms of choosing the participants in a single national title game, its ridiculous. I would like to see a system similar to the BCS which ranks the teams for an eight or even sixteen team playoff

Why should Ohio State have to play more games than everybody else? They cant play a conference championship because NCAA rules say you need 12 teams and 2 divisions.

We have parade in college football. And it doesn't suck that OSU hasn't played it just shows that outside the Big Ten the other conference that play more games then are needed are just stupid. OSU plays by Big Ten rules. Not SEC, or any other conference that is making there no pay student athletes play more games than needed.

yeah, so lets not play any games during the season and just pick the two best that we like the most.

pick one of the following.

An amazing season, full of upsets, twists, turns, and exciting matchups. (Rutgers and South Florida was the game of the week) and have an un-popular NC game.

or a season where everything that was predicted happens and the championship is between the pre-season #1 and #2.

You are totally right. It is too confusing for the people at BCS to figure out all this, in a few years we should be seeing the playoff system. Especially after last night, confusion confusion!

I think this year more than ever shows why College football needs a playoff.

As ZQNUPE5 said it's all about the green-backs. Why do you think the major schools play primetime and the smaller conferences play at 8 pm on a Saturday?
