You'll need about 40 classes at about $700 a class which ='s $28,000, If you don't have any credits that can be transfered. The online classes are great but you never know what kind of professor you'll get. Generally you'll have assignments and you'll have a week or sometimes the whole semester to complete them. Most classes are great but once and a while you'll get a professor that thinks a undergraduate class a Graduate class.
They will also give you 32 credits if you have a Commercial rating with instrument.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide Tuition
Undergraduate
$ 207 - $ 253 per credit hour
For their degree courses, there are 126 credit hours required. In addition, for their flight programs, they estimate $10,000-15,000 for flight training, and there are some other fees listed, although it is difficult to figure out which of these would apply to their online programs.
As to how the courses work, it appears that they work like any online program. You pay your tuition and are put in touch with an instructor, who allows you to complete assignments, take exams, etc., on your own schedule.
