As a fan, which would you prefer: make the playoffs only 1 year out of 10 and win the World Series that one year, or 10 straight playoff appearances with no title?

its all about the title...i would rather have one than none..and 10 straight playoff appearances is only impressive if you win the title a few times...other wise peolple think you just choke in the playoffs..good question tho

Without a doubt 1 World Series Title is better than 10 playoff appearances.
I lived in Atlanta during the entire run and I appreciated that I could go to the park and seeing a quality team on the field every year, but that one win in October meant so much.

I would actually go with 10 playoff appearances. If they are making it 10 times in a row then every year is exciting and has you as a fan askin if they can do it that year in october. If you win one WS thats great but then for another 9 seasons your stuck with watching your ballclub struggle and being disappointed that they can't compete with other teams.

Look at Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees. Braves get one World Series for 14 consecutive appearances. Bet they wish they'd just made it twice and had 2 WC. Same with the Yanks for this century. Post season is all right if you win sometimes. It sucks to keep failing, though.

They play the game to win a title. I think its the world series. Plus after 10 years with no title your team gets labeled as one that can't perform in post season.

i would personally rather have 1 title, because even making the playoffs is an accomplishment, but winning it all is a WOW! I would kill to hold the world series trophy, and be able to say "we did it!"

Here is an analogy.
Making it to 10 straight playoffs is like going into 10 dates with a girl and not even making it to 3rd base
Winning a world series is like going on the first date and striking gold if you know what I mean.
Remember nobody remembers 2nd or 3rd place. This is true with sports, beauty pageants, races, and elections

Win the WS, because that's what it's all about. Who cares if you make the playoffs 10 straight times if you don't win anything.
