You can buy an aftermarket tach, there are several really good racing style tachs. Some people mount them to the steering column, others to the "A" pillar. You can even buy a tach that mounts on the outside of your truck. As far as wiring one up it's pretty easy. You should have a 12 volt hot wire (run to a switched fuse in the fuse panel), a ground wire, and another wire that will need to be run through the firewall to the distributor. On the distributor there will be some wires plugged in to it, you may need to remove the distributor cap, where the wires plug in there should be an empty plug that reads tach. just plug you wire in there put the cap back on. Assuming that you mounted the tach first, start up your truck and watch the tach do it's thing.

Follow the directions that came with the tach. Not too difficult installation. There are usually 4 wires.
1. "+" Power fused - 3 amps
2. "─" Ground
3. Signal from the coil - splice into wire from the coil to distributor. (negative side)
4. Light - Fuse box. Switch on headlights & find the feed.

There are no available replacement beds on the market for that style truck. You can find replacement panels for different sections of the bed but not enough to build an entire bed. Anyone that has a good 6ft. bed of that year knows what there are worth and will ask a heavy price for it. I've got people looking all over the country for a bed for my truck and after 4 years I still don't have one.
