I am curious how long each game has been around. I rmember first playing scrabble in 1980 and then Boggle around 1988. I am wondering when they first were sold.

Morgan is an idiot looking for two points that really mean nothing in reality.
To others who do not know anything and are wanting points to boost their ego, please just put ??? to save your time and mine.
I am still trying to find out when Boggle first became a game if there is anyone else like pink gerb who actually answers questions intelligently.

This is not a hard question! Boggle: 1973. Scrabble: 1931 under the name "Criss Cross."

Don't know about Boggle but Scrabble was invented by Alfred Butts in the 1930s but wasn't sold on the open market until 1949. Mr. Butts sold his rights to another person who is the one that made all the money from it. He died within the last 10 years in his 90s. He did not approve of the changes that had been made in his game, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Scrabble was invented in the 30's if I remember correctly but it had a different name. It was 1948 that it was first manufactured under the name scrabble.
