Because it requires us to do something different and we are comfortable doing what we have always done. It is scary and we don't know what is going to happen.

The unknown is frightening for some people. Think about little things like a detour for construction. A substitute teacher. Moving to a new city. Changing jobs. Hairstyle. Many people become stressed about changing their phone number. As much as we think of ourselves as free spirits, change affects us in many ways. When I confront change, I think of September 11th which changed the lives of all of us.

Because we get used to things, and feel confident when things stay the same and we know what to expect.

Change is difficult because it often brings with it fear of unfamiliar things.

because your used to a different way of thinking being. If you practice the change long enough you will adjust.

People are far more comfortable with the same routine, even if they don't like the routine, they at least know what's going to happen.
