I move around a lot and do not have a laptop. Apart from emailing word documents to myself is there a simple way I can store word documents on the internet? (FREE) Preferably in a way that I can edit the documents and it is relatively private ie it wont come up on any old google search.

thanks

Yes, you can get a free web account. I would try something simple like geocities.yahoo.com.

The perfect tool for that is an ftp server.

You can get free storage space everywhere : from isp, free hosting sites, or you can host it on your pc.
Your files are password protected

All major browsers support ftp. Or you can download many free, more complete trp clients: like smartftp or an firefox add on called fireftp.

You just upload to the server, go to the browser and type ftp://adress. A box will appear, you enter user name and password and the files will be there, every where you go you can access your documents/music, ... And share them with others too.

Google Docs is one.

PC magazine had a big article devoted to online document editors recently. there are others mentioned but Google is one.

You could use your Yahoo Briefcase to store your files.

Then download back to computer and edit and re-upload once you're done.
