Not at all. I am retired and I threw away my alarm clock.

I'm used to wake up for work without the help of an alarm clock for quite a number of years already...

Hmmm. What a good question. I've never thought about it. Now that I do though, I think it would be on some days. After I've gotten used to waking at a certain time, I find that I don't always need an alarm, but when I'm unusually tired or I have to get up at an odd time, I do.
