Is a necromonk a good profession combine?

Some people use it to great effect. They are called 'minnion masters' and combine Death Magic with Healing magic to create an ARMY of undead minnions, then keep those minnions allive through healing spells.

You won't be any more fragile than a normal necromancer, and you could heal your party in a pinch. Just be careful with your minnions, they tend to draw agro easilly and will attack anything in range that is hostile.

PS if you don't know how it works, necromancer pets are summoned from the fallen. Once created, these minnions constantly loose health until the run out, at which point they disappear. Minnion Masters use spells like Heal Area to keep those minnions healthy, and therefore can control very large groups of them. Dependent of course, on their Death Magic attribute, which was linked to the maximum number of minnions to nerf the combination out of game-breaking power.

man that would be difficult to play until it gets up in the levels, but I could see the advantages in being one. I'd say go for it and best of luck getting through the lower leves.
