The book is absolutely brillaint, and just as good as the film. Lovely.

If you liked the movie, you will definitely like the book. Same with Message in a Bottle and A Walk to Remember which are also books by Nicholas Sparks. I don't particularly care for his stuff myself....overly sentimental and emotionally manipulative. I don't like the movies either. You might though!

honestly speaking, you should have read the book first... the turns and twists were fabulous.. but since you watched the movie first, the book will be just as good, or maybe better...it brings emotion into life..
i will definitely recommend the book...

i have read the book and yes the book has more detail but the movie doesn't lose to much. i would suggest you read if for nothing else than to get the full story.

the book, in my opinion, is MUCH better than the movie and would definately reccomend it.
