There are a number of things to accomplish what you want... XP/Vista come already with remote desktop connection. I included a link to set it up. You could also go to other paid options like gotomypc.com. That may accomplish what you want to do also. There are open source options like VNC -- this is also a fairly robust option for you to try.

In short, there are a number of options for you to accomplish this depending on the type of home connection you have, how you want to open your firewall and if you want a paid solution [which tends to be easier to use].

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

I personally use RADMIN..... use google to find out.

You can also use LOGMEIN, again use google to find out. Logmein is easier to use as you don't need to know the ip address of the target computer. You can, however, setup a dynDNS account on the target computer (including the update software) so you always have a pointer to your target if you want to use RADMIN.

Good luck...

You no need to hack it.
Windows got the function called remote assistance.
But your PC at home must be power on.
