left hand side. When I escerate it gets worse and then almost dissaoears completly when Im just cruising. Does anybody have any idea as to what it may be???????

could be the belt needs to be adjusted , or some thing is going , like power steering alternator

Fords are notorious for a power steering pump whine. Check the fluid level. It's not an immediate concern. Monitor the fluid level & continue driving until symptoms worsen.

Same thing happened to me. it turned out to be the wife.
