Your PC should have come either with an XP CD; XP recovery CD or been setup with a RECOVERY PARTITION
Contact supplier of the machine to check.
If a "recovery set" then this will load all drivers etc for you.
IF you need to use a "proper XP CD" to install you will ALSO need ALL the relevant drivers. Asn supplier for links to these files too !

If you have a friend that has a XP disk you can use it or any XP disk and use your XP COA on your laptop so everything is ok. I have used the same XP cd on over 100 computers that had their own XP COA and just input that code into the COA box that comes up during install and all have worked so far. Thanks

hi thomas
windows 98 is different to windows xp installation, unlike windows xp windows 98 will not boot from cd
it needs a start up disk, which is avalible for download from http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm(choose windows 98se >mirror),once you have downloaded this then execute the file and follow the instructions for transfer to a floppy disk, you will need a formatted 1.44mb floppy disk
when you have created the floppy disk you then need to set your bios boot order to floppy disk first so you can boot from floppy
to do this press delete at start up to enter set up,then press advanced bios features and there you can change the boot order, once you have changed the boot order go back to the main set up screen and save and exit set up to save any changes to the cmos
after you have done this insert your windows 98 start up disk and restart the p.c,upon reboot the p.c will boot from floppy and the windows 98 start up disk will initialize
choose to use "with cd rom support" and then wait for the disk to finish loading
you may need to create partitions or change the file system before you can install windows 98,to do this you need to type "fdisk" at the dos prompt, this will take you to the fdisk option screen, follow the instructions there
finally to install windows 98 you need to type "win98se/setup.exe" and then return
windows 98 will now start installing
any problems let me know
good luck thomas !

Just download XP from a torrent site and then use your KEY for install..

Use KEYFinder to get your key from the XP you are using now:
