Diego Armando Maradona, most purests will say Pele , however Pele was helped by having a '' stacked deck'' playing with all the time making things happen, Maradona on the other hand only had ordinary players depending on him to make things happen.

Depends on what you want. Skill Maradona, Goals Pele. But i would say Maradona by far, Only reason he isn't named best ever was because of doing drugs. I remember a debate done about this matter by Uefa or maybe it was Fifa about 6 years ago on who is the best, the Fans picked Maradona, While Uefa/Fifa picked Pele

I agree with Clever Girl. Pele and Maradona were spectacular, but Messi might be better than both of them. He is a joy to watch and a terror to defend against.
