I'd have to go with the Final Fantasy series, in particular FFX and FFVI. Honorable mention goes to Dragon Quest VIII.

well final fantasy and elder scrolls are both great put pokemon games are very good, deep rpgs.i think all of them are fun but final fantasy has to be the best.
