This is a very good question, yet deeply personal. Like you said, I am straight too so this is an issue that has never concerned me. My parents and brother would accept my sexuality, but I know they would be sorely disappointed (especially my mom). She was raised in an incredibly socially conservative family who did not support same sex marriage, amongst other issues. However, they are good people, just not very open-minded. I'm confident that all of my friends, give or take a couple would be comfortable around me. My friends are all socially liberal and support same sex marriage. I honestly can't think of anyone in my circle of friends who'd disapprove or avoid me based on my sexuality.
