all my life, the gifts are coming to me in instalment basis, some big some small, most of the time i even dont know its already in my hands. i prefer it this way though, surprises and unpredictability makes life more wonderful, with the thought that you never know what will happen next.

That all depends on the gifts.

Some gifts are addictive like kisses.

You never want those to stop so you just keep hoping they will never end, but; you scarf them down like your life depends upon them.

I am not much for receiving gifts so I take them as they come and feel compelled to return them in kind, all at once or little by little.

But if I get to choose, and my choice is not to avoid gifts altogether, then I would imagine tat all at once is better than little by little because who knows if I will be around later to appreciate the last gift.

My answer would be "At once".

if they're small gifts, then all at once
if they're big gifts, then spread out over time
that way, either way, i receive great gifts everytime

but that's in a really...."child's" christmas point of view.

if you meant that in a more emotional aspect, definitley spread out over time, so i'm constantly reminded of the love around me if any, though sometimes a sudden wave of love will serve its purpose as a wake up call

We're not big on gift giving anymore. It's pretty much dissapated here, & I'm so glad. So, it really doesn't matter to me.
