Well in the united states theres:
Nursery School (optional)
Pre-kindergarten (Optional)
Kindergarten (Optional)
First Grade
Second Grade
Third Grade
Fourth Grade
Fifth Grade
Sixth Grade
Seventh Grade
Eighth Grade
Ninth Grade
Tenth Grade
Eleventh Grade
Twelfth Grade

Collage is optional, but there are four or two-year collages.
Then 1-2 years in graduate school and approx 3 years to get your doctorate (also known as PhD or Masters)


So there is 12 required grades.


In Elementary school it often varies.
Typically its: 1-5 or 1-6

In my school (its private) its pre k-4

Depends on what school system you're in. 1-6 elementary. 7-8 junion high school, or, nowadays, "middle school". 9-12 high school. Middle school expands either way (could be grades 6-9) depending on the school system (organization in that particular county, by how many children there are, etc.). Approx. 4 years college. (unless you're doing it online) 1-2 grad school. approx 3 doctorate

12 grades here. I'm pretty sure it's much shorter there. I know someone who is already in college and still 16, following the normal philippines grade format.

In the US, it goes up to 12th grade before university.
