My mom and I get along very well, but we don't really have much in common. So I'm usually clueless about what to get her as gifts.

Since it's just me and her, we usually go all out on each other. For her real gifts, I've so far got her a leather jacket, a few nice blouses, a pair of dress shoes and a ring. For her stocking I usually get her stuff like make-up, perfume, lotion, nail polish...but that only goes so far! It's hard to fill up her stocking. So, any ideas? Please don't say a gift card or anything like that. Thanks for your help and happy holidays!

What about:
Emory boards and other manicure stuff
You could put together an emergency beauty bag for her to keep at work in her desk or locker (deo, mints, Tylenol, tooth brush, mini hair brush, mini lint roller, tide stain remover stick, clear polish to stop a pantyhose run, etc.). If you go the the sample aisle in Target or Wal-Mart, you'll get tons of ideas.
Cute socks
A new make up bag
A CD of hip new music for her drive to work or soothing music for the ride home (you could even burn this yourself and it would mean more to her).
Bath and body has those mini-sized lotions, bubble baths, and lip glosses in lots of yummy scents.
Chocolate spoons for her coffee
A good paper-back novel
Spa slippers/flip-flops for when she goes to get a pedicure
A new scarf to wear this winter (with my new leather jacket - a red one!)
Candy/chocolate
A cute new mini umbrella (they have some that fold up to the size of a wallet!)
A new mobile phone cover
A cool, spill-proof cup to take my coffee or tea to work, maybe one that you put your picture in so she can take YOU to work! Ha!
A watch

Good luck and best wishes.

Go to the key making place and get her house keys made in funky designs. I hope I am describign this okay. They have patterned keys. It will be easy for her to identify her keys on her keychain.

How about just one card that say's it all. TELL her how wonderful she is to you. How much you love her. What she has meant to you. Like the song say's, "Say it loud, say it clear, .............it's too late when we die". Let her know while you still can. I hate to sound all morbid on this holiday, but with the passing of my Mother, I KNOW it's very important to do this! Trust me, if you have the relationship you say, she will love the card. And that information will last her a lifetime! Merry Christmas and enjoy!
