I heard somewhere that it isn't necessary to remove your tampon before urinating if you've only had it in for a little bit and aren't ready to change it yet. The site I read it on was directed towards young women who've just started having periods (I'm not in that group, but was curious). It said that you just have to hold the string out of the way. I've always just changed it when I have to pee...but wouldn't it be nice to not have to? So, anyway, is that true or not?

Thanks guys.
I know to change it every 6-8 hours (I usually do more often than that because I'm worried about TSS and I also tend to have a heavy flow).
Oh, and the person who said tampons hurt when you sit down, I think you're using them wrong. If it hurts, then you haven't put it far enough in.
