YES, with such a major hardware change, you will have to re-install all your programs. Do a back up of all your files before you start any repair or upgrade. Format the drive for best results, as there is no reason to bring old files (which may be corrupted) into a new system.

You can change your whole computer but keep the hardisk and you won't have to reinstall windows ... All your files are on the hardisk ... So if you take your hardisk out of your PC and go to your best friend and make a switch than all your files, settings will be on his PC ... Changing a motherboard does not make you reinstall windows ... You don't have to ... As i said only keep the hardisk and you can change your whole PC ... Only thing you have to install are the drivers for the motherboard - you get them on a cd that comes with the motherboard...

If the motherboard is same as the previous one then you may not require reinstalling provided your hard-disk is same.Otherwise yes.

Yes lol, and your files are stuck on your old hard drive unless you have a PC running Linux so you can recover your old files...Sadly MS decided to add this security rubbish that blocks your files etc in other machines so you cant just swap your HDD

So... unless you have a linux box... i think your goingto need a re-install
