Do you save things that serve no functional purpose, but to enhance a memory?

I used to live with that sentimental curse. It came from my mother. She was obsessed in that way. I broke the curse & am much better off, as looking back is a killer & keeping junk is clutter. Little did she know that after she passed, my step father would auction off all of her "DEAR BELONGINGS" that she couldn't take with her. A pure waste of mental energy. Sentiment - NO.

yes...i think, based off dictionary.com's definitions.

yes, i save things that serve no meaning but the quality of enhancing a memory. i think i need to do that much more often though...almost all of my memories tend to....fade into nothingness

M I have done for certain reasons probably not really thinking at the time but yes I have. Especially when it comes to my ex even though I am over him now I was with him for six years so I still have time if that makes sense.

Well....I use to. I remember i use to keep a ticket of a musical I like so much...but in the end I threw it away like it's just a useless piece of junk. Nowadays the sentimental stuff I have in my room are rubbish I'm too lazy to clear off!

Everyone saves a few things - the point is not to become a slave to it and end up with drawers full of stuff that ends up just being a weight on you.

Of course!
I have pictures from vacations and places I've visited years ago.
There sole purpose is nostalgic, to aid me and others in reliving a particular moment.

Sometimes I'm going to be moving soon so I can't save anymore extra things I don't need.

Very. And yes, I do. So many events and occasions, and I have some sort of memorabilia from most. I'm running out of places to put it!

God bless you.

Very much so, I used to keep everything, thinking it meant something. I have tapered down a bit, now it is mostly things for my children.
