is it also none of my business when I see the same woman being murdered?
After all, if I don't have the right to say that her unborn child has the right to life, then how can I determine that she herself does?

Bonji - So you would defend murder if it was legal just because it was legal?

Karebear- Yes, it figures that I care that the life of an innocent, defenseless child wll never have the chance to live just because it's mother didn't want it, was raped, or whatever..
That makes me such a jerk, doesn't it? I mean a nice person would just let people kill their own flesh and blood for no good reason, but not me because I'm such a jerk.

If you want to get involved in someone's else's life like that, then be prepared to follow through. Don't tell someone not to have an abortion and then do nothing afterwards if she decides to have the baby. Offer housing, medical care expenses, and other things she will need to make up for lost time at work or school. It's easy to say something but if you aren't prepared to back up your words with actions, then you really shouldn't say anything.

seeing a woman on the street being murdered, and a *medical procedure* that is not in your face and you will never know about unless the specific woman tell you are not the same thing, no matter how you try to paint it. Despite the fact that you take positions i abhor, and support things that i consider to be inhumane, i still think you have the right to live. You cant have a moral high ground by making yourself the judge jury and exocutioner of other people.
There is also a significant difference between a born and living human being, and a clump of cells.
dont like abortions? then dont get one, and make sure that you and any sexual partners you may have discuss it before hand and either use contraception, dont sleep together or agree to raise any possible offspring.

Once again, a fetus is not a child but merely products of conception. Until said fetus can live outside it's mother it is legal for her to remove it if she so desires. My body, my fetus, i can do with it as I please.
I have seen these "products of conception" come out because the woman's body did it naturally. This, my friend was only the potential for human life. Every month a woman releases an egg, that too is the potential for human life, then shouldnt she have the obligation to have sex and try to make a baby from it? Women are more than baby making factories, and we get to say when we want to reproduce.
Remember this...A woman has already been born and is a person, products of conception are not people.
Just because your religion tells you that all life is sacred doesn't mean that everyone feels that way. Try not to impose your beliefs on the rest of the world, it's not very becoming.

I am not sure that not saving a woman being murdered is ok at any time...
If you want to save a child why not start with one that is already alive and in the system. Meaning that if you are so adamant that all children be brought into the world, are you a registered foster care parent, do you go to the nurseries of babies born crack or heroin addicted and rock them...there are programs...do you stop on the street when you see a child being hurt or abused...it is all around us...since you advocate for the unborn why not do something for those that you advocate for after they are born...have you adopted one of the children that so self righteously advocate for...one that has severe genetic deformities and will be draining the resources of the system for a long long time. If a woman decides to not have an abortion based on your determination have you stayed with her the nine months to make it easier on her...have you held her hand in delivery and taken the baby in your arms and then gone home with them to ensure that child has what it needs in order to survive...or stand outside her house and yell ways to be a better parent? It seems that paying lip service to abortion issues is so easy but to come up with ways to personally be involved is somehow beneath most people who judge for others what they should and should not do...what are you doing to make the lives of those children already here any better

I can understand here where you are coming from and it makes no difference if a man or woman feels/thinks this way because no matter how much it's glossed over, abortion is the killing of an unborn baby.
Hypothetically if a man was to experience what you've said, then it's a rational argument. Why should he care? The child was his too. Of course men care.
Unfortunately life is not as simple as that, to not care about your partner. With the unborn though, while the pregnancy should have been prevented, many women do the best they can. Perhaps even the woman doesn't want her child to grow up in such an uncertain world or in poverty.
Personally, I've been in similar situations and decided to keep the baby and do the best job I can.

The "unborn child" isn't legally a human being yet. The woman is. The "unborn child" that was aborted wouldn't have been able to sustain life outside of the womb. Big difference.

The only time it should be legally any of your business, is if you're the biological father of the unborn child. If you see a woman being murdered, since she's already been born, perhaps it would be nice of you to call the cops.

I don't support abortion for convenience matters, or because it happened without it being planned...
But the truth is that biology determined that the baby-to-be might develop inside the mother's uterus for 9 months before s/he's ready to be born.
So, I think it's unethical for any other people to wish to force a woman to procreate a child against her own will...

No one has to care if someone else is being murdered.. Her life is not your responsibility.
Sure, it's pretty sick that you care about the unborn fetus more than an actual human being, but hey, I'm not going to say you have to care about people who have been murdered.

Not only is it none of your business this woman is getting an abortion because it is her body and her choice but it is also your business if you are a so called Christian not to judge others. If you believe in God then you know that only God can pass judgement on others. Judge those murderers who bomb abortion clinics and shoot doctors and nurses.
