Intel GMA950 is as the name specifies Graphics Media Accelerator ... It is capable of 3d acceleration and supports
directx 9 ... But it is not a strong chip ... It scores around 5500 points in 3dmark 2001 with a Pentium D915 (dual core pentium 2.8 ghz cpu) and is extremely week when it comes to running directx 9 games ... If you go for it don't expect to play any recent demanding games ... Most games till 2004 will run very good ... As for recent games you will be able to run only games such as Fifa 2008 ...

there's a extensive distinction. The Geforce has overall performance such as a low to mid selection very own laptop card however the intel 950 card has decrease overall performance than very almost any snap shots card you will purchase. in case you in ordinary terms opt for to apply homestead windows then there is little distinction yet once you have an pastime in video games then do not even think of of having the 950.

Yes, but it is so crap at 3D that it may as well not.
If you want to play games on your laptop you'll need something better because that chip just isn't up to handling anything half modern.

According to this "Overview" link, under the Specifications sections it states it has "High Performance 3D":

Yes i think, can play Halo:Combat Evolved on high settings, DX10 (Vista). But it doesn't have hardware vertex shaders, so it isn't very good for halflife2 games, e.g. Portal.
