USC does not deserve to be in the title game. You didn't beat any team impressively all year. The other teams in the PAC 10 like Cal and Oregon that were supposed to be good keep losing. Nothing personal against the PAC 10, but they are really the fifth best major conference. LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Florida are all teams that are better and would beat USC if they played.

Unfortunately, there are too many teams in front off USC in the poll, including those who won on Saturday, so I don't see the Trojans moving up to #2, possibly as high as #4 (which is a strech), more likely they'll be #6.
The Rose Bowl is always the goal, and what's good is that USC will keep getting the millions BCS bowl money for appearing at the Rose Bowl, that money will continue to help improve it's program.
Don't worry, next year they'll be the same dominant team, and should be a favorite to win the Championship. Plus, the offense that had a lot of trouble scoring this year will put up massive numbers next year, the running game is already there, and the wideouts have slowly improved during this season, so the offensive attack won't be so one dimensional and Sarkisian won't be as conservative in his play calling.
I'm not worried about losing a lot of the defense, the replacements have had a lot of chances to sub in this year. Plus, a good offense is the best defense.

The teams playing the best right now are LSU, Georgia, Va Tech, Oklahoma & USC. Of those 5, USC & Oklahoma really don't have a chance to play in the national title game. We need a playoff! You'd better hope you don't get Hawaii in the Rose Bowl. What a waste of a spot in the BCS to let them in. And please don't anybody say anything about Ohio State (weak Big 10 this year, they didn't beat a ranked team) or Kansas (got dominated last week in their big game with Missouri).

USC won against a weak UCLA team and Oklahoma, LSU, and Va Tech won conference championships against ranked opponents. Plus USC is too far out.

It is illustrative of what a farce the current system of determining the national champion is that USC and Ohio State (Who lost to such powerhouses as Stanford and Illinois - L - O - L) are even mentioned in association with this year's crown...

Nope, the fact that USC lost to Stanford takes them out of the picture.

They will get screwed yet again by the biased east coast BCS. Hawaii is the only undefeated team left and they at leasy deserve a shot at the title over a two loss team.

They look good now that they are healthy, but those losses, especially to Stanford, really hurt their chances. If they wouldn't have been so ate up with injuries they would be #1 right now. Oh well..that's football.
