My grandmother tells that people hardly eat in LA and very few women have the metabolism to them naturally at a size. Most younger who are hyper attentive to their diet and exercise are between and 4 and an 8. Why don’t they just SAY it’s hard rather than pretending that it’s easy and natural. I’m a size 6 and I definitely have to watch what I eat

I think eating disorders and drug use are rampant in show biz, but also, being a success in the business requires an awful lot of discipline (look at Madonna), and this includes hearty exercise and eating well.

It IS tough to keep up a great physique - but look at how Janet Jackson relaxes between albums and touring by eating what she wants, then she's back on the treadmill and returning to a great shape!

Have you been to LA? You can feel the vibe, the mentality of people dying to stay thin and hip and sexy. All those glamorous houses in the exclusive hills and on the exclusive beaches are filled with people nursing their super thinness like a baby, and there's a whole subculture that's there to support them: trainers, motivators, dealers, their fellow "athletes" in the "sport" of thin-competition between women; stylists, designers, assistants, gophers, yoga teachers, vendeuses, life stylists, gurus, coaches, publicists...

That's because there is such a stigma attached to being fat! They want to appear above it all, concerning any derogatory afflictions like the dreadful obesity issue. They must show that they are superior in every respect.

They think they look cooler if the say things like that, And if they say otherwise, the damn journalists kick in
