Depends on if you want to be up close and personal or attack from a distance. personally i am petrified by up close and personal so i always go for ranged characters! try one then if you don't like it try the other, there's nothing like a minion master tho!

as a warrior you will be the only class who can stand up there and do melee (other than dervish and assassins, but they weak). Lots of times you'll find yourself acting not to do incredible damage but instead to be a "meatshield" and simply keep nearby enemies from attacking the rest of your team. To be a warrior, you have to be able to be a team player in PvP and take the cool resposibility of being the only guy who can stand up and fight with his muscles

As a necro, your role can change, from creating minions from dead players to doing player disruption by giving them hexes and curses while making yourself stronger as a result. To be a necro, you should be someone who likes to gain from other's pain, per se :P

So really, its up to how you want to play the game. I personally like warriors in some games, there is something cool about protecting others by letting the baddies attack you (as long as your monk is a good healer haha)

Do you want to watch your health or watch your energy?

Warriors are powerful, but are more about taking damage than giving it. They wear the game's best armor and have more HP than anyone else. And as long as you aren't using a two-handed weapon, you have shields to protect you too.

Necromancers, on the other hand, are supposed to be capable of debuffing their targets, doing damage over time attacks, and controlling their disposable undead minions.

Since your allowed two characters, try them both and see which you prefer!
