I am a 16 year old girl, but I am slim and have almost no boobs. I also have really short hair. When i wear anything but skin tight clothes, which is always, I am often mistaken for a boy (been called "sir", "sonny", and "young man", etc...... I used to be ok with it cause I have seen people like........ is that a boy, or girl?
but my face and voice is a girl! should i be ok with this still? i dunno.......?

Well, I respect your guys ideas, but I can't stand long hair! And I think make up is pointless. I am a tom-boy, if you couldn't tell.

Ok, so someone mistakes me for a boy. But I am shy. I don't like to be rude to people. And if they truly think I am a boy, wouldn't it be rude to just snap at them?

I have a friend like that; she puts heart shaped clips in her hair or maybe a thin headband (her hair is very short too, almost pixie); she wears some make up, as she is a tomboy-ish girl too, she just puts on edgy make up. She wears baggy masculine clothes as it's trendy this year, but with high heeled ankle boots, and cute jewellery. Good luck!

Sweetie, please understand that I am not saying this to be harsh, but with utmost respect and understanding. There is nothing you can do to change how people perceive you unless you are willing to change. You have stated that you have short hair and do not like to wear make up, a self professed "tom boy". These are choices you make about how you present yourself. If you don't want to change who you are, then people will always view you as they do. This is NOT to say that you should change, OH NO!! In fact , I applaud you for being yourself. However, you will always encounter people who are rude or stupid or both that will call you sir, sonny, etc. My best advice to you is to come up with a snappy, inoffensive comeback that will let the transgressor know they have made a mistake of your gender. Something lighthearted like " Young Man?!? I guess I better get rid of those dresses in my closet". (that was lame I know, but its early and my coffee is still brewing LOL , but you get the idea. Good Luck to always--MissDelanne

Most people want to get your gender right - they are just making a mistake. They are looking for clues to answer that question and you are not giving them enough of the right ones. I might suggest a few things.

Maybe just lipstick or mascara. Just a little makeup should tip the balance to girl.

If you want your hair short, add earrings. Maybe dangle ones - something that is definitely feminine!

Add a feminine piece of clothing to your tom boy outfits. Maybe a pink scarf or a bracelet?

Of just a spot of feminine perfume?

If you add just a few hints I am sure it will tip the balance and people will not mistake you for a boy.

Good Luck!

Wear a little mascara, some lip gloss and if you want to keep your hair short just put some gel in it and wear a more tousled look.Wear hoop or long drop earrings.
You sound like model material to me...ever thought of trying it?

some boys look like girls....maybe people think you are a girly-looking boy. however, what you didn't say is that you dress pretty casual with mostly dark colors...i'm guessing that because no one gonna confuse a girl wearing a pink dress for a boy.

be yourself....if it bothers you that much then grow your hair out....OR wear "girl" colors...throw some pink in the mix...wear flowers or put little bows & clips in your hair...paint your nails & wear makeup...

have i grossed you out yet? be yourself. have fun turning to people and saying "i'm a girl!!" it's their problem, not yours! if you start living your life for other people's approval - you will waste yourself for nothing.

Abbs, legs in the adventure that they are no longer large furry - nicely I do examine out them in the adventure that they are large furry yet no longer in an attracted way lol. Hair (like warm coiffure), eyes. some females examine out their butts yet i imagine your better probable to work out a guy gazing a chick's butt. those are basically the actual issues we seek for although. Mentally we dig... effective, worrying, smart, humorous, appeal and this way of :)

it's okay.
i've seen a few girls at school with small, flat looking boobs with boyish looking style.
there's always girls out there like that.
don't change yorself if you like the way you look like.

if someone misjudged or mistaken you then just say "I'm a girl, please don't misjudge me like that. Thanks."

well, that's all the help I can give you. Sorry. And makeup will help. Don't just use eyeliner, guys these days use that too. Eyeshadow, lipgloss, & mascara is great!

When I was your age I am rili slim too and hav flat boobs.. It'll take time for you to see your full development as a woman. Jst try to be more feminine in tha way you walk or talk and be natural.
Dont pretend too much like wearing make-up if your not comfortable with it. Jst be neat and clean..
If you want to have bigger boobs try wearing larger bra's, your boobs will follow the size of the bra you're wearing in time.
If you can't take putting on make-up, lipbalm will do..
Try wearing blouses that'll emphasize you shoulders. It'll cover-up for your lack of big boobs. Or spaghetti strap blouses that are not too sexy. Those with simple designs. Try it. and tell me if it works

you can style your short hair in that sexy, bed head, model style.. and wear some make up. Not alot, you can lightly line your eyes in eyeliner, and put on some mascara. You don't need long hair, or boobs
