In the middle of the night?

About a month ago. I called my sister-in-law, who goes to bed at about 9:00 every night really late, like at 11:30, because I was just going to leave a message on her answering machine about something. She doesn't have a phone in her room, so I figured it would be safe. As it happened, she had just gotten up to use the bathroom, so she answered the phone. We had such a good chat about all sorts of things that we just kept going and going and going. Finally, a bit short of 2:00 I told her we absolutely had to get off the phone. I don't work, so I can sleep in, but she had to be to work early the next morning.
It was still a great phone call, and when she was up here last week for Thanksgiving, she said that she was completely beat the next day, but it was definitely worth it because we'd had such a good conversation.

when my s.o. and i first started seeing each other 23 yrs ago, he would call in the middle of the night occasionally. one call did last a couple of hours, but i'm not sure it counts because he fell asleep.
lol
other than that, never. i cannot talk on the phone that long.

My sister who lives about 90 miles away called me a week ago and we spoke for 2-1/2 hours approx....time went really fast!!
