My periods last 7 days and yes my blood changes in color and consistency during those different days. My heaviest days are at the 3rd and 4th days and then starts to lighten up again at around day 5 and 6, and then gone on the 7th.

My periods last 7-8 days and is usually the heaviest during the first 2-3 days, then becomes a bit lighter until the last 2 days when it becomes heavier again. On the 8th day I usually only have a bit of "spotting" and then it's gone.

Yes the blood does change, but thats supposed to happen, at first its a darker browny red colour, after that its a brighter red. It lasts around 5 days for me, but it can be more for others.

Most periods last from 3-7 days. Never heard of one shorter unless it was just spotting, but there are some girls who have longer periods.

And how do you mean, "the blood changes"? If you mean more tissue- possibly. If you mean how heavy the flow is- definitely.
