Do barbaric people deserve their barbaric laws?
Ibrahim bin Salih al-Khudairi, a judge on the Riyadh Appeals Court, said in an interview in the newspaper Okaz on Nov. 27 that if he had been a judge in the Qatif court, he would have sentenced the woman, her male companion and the seven rapists to death, and that they were lucky not to get the death penalty.
Al-Tariki pointed to the discrepancies that result. In recent cases, he wrote, three teenagers were beheaded for attacking a gas station and injuring a worker while a government employee who received thousands of riyals as a bribe was only sentenced eight months in prison. A group of men received 12 years in prison for sexual harassment, compared to the shorter sentences for the Girl of Qatif rapists.

the saudi's are crazy people, who sentence anyone for any reason, they are breaking sharia law themselves

What ever a person has done wrong does not deserve such sadistic and brutal punishment. Tourists to these countries are expected to uphold their laws and would no doubt be treated the same if caught breaking them. If a Middle Eastern person came hear and raped or injured another they would be most indignant if we treated them the same as their home country would. These Mid Eastern countries do not deserve tourism and we should boycott them while they work and live under such barbarous laws and actions. I would not use any holiday resort, airline or hotel owned by these people.

Until women get a voice in these repressive states nothing will change,women will always be treated as the under class with no say in there family or countries affairs.the chances of women getting a voice is nil,There are so many people who preach about the roll women play in these states but where do they say it from ,from the comfort of a lovely life style in a civilized country ,if these men and i have to say a few women who have been promoted to a elevated position in Britain so they can voice there views should go to there country of origin and promote equality amongst there country folk,again the chances are nil there very brave doing it 3000 miles away with no threat of revenge and saying it in a country that promotes free speech,Unfortunately places like Sudan are corrupt with governments taking bribes to fund there religious and political views,I read a report today that the Sudanese government withholds aid money to the poor people of southern Sudan as this is a christian part of the country until they denounce the christian faith and uphold the muslin faith .

Barbarism has nothing to do with justice & is unnaceptable behaviour in a modern world!
Under the guise of Islam these people are conditioned as children that these acts of barbarity are warranted by 'God' & so are justified!

confident, that's Islamic justice as practiced in Saudi Arabia. confident, she became into sentenced to 6 months in reformatory & ninety lashes for being the victum, yet that sentence became into greater beneficial to 2 hundred lashes because of the fact she spoke out publically approximately it & tried to callenge the call. to boot, her lawyer is dealing with a three-365 days reformatory sentence & plausible disbarrment for taking her case. And in case you're questioning, the rapists each and every recieved one hundred-2 hundred lashes &3-12years in detention center, looking on their area in the crime. you may desire all you opt for, yet confident that's rather the "justice' the islamist could opt for to impose at something of the planet.

You know Muslims are so hypocritical. I work with some OK Muslim guys and they tell me that women only have to cover up in the street. At home , if the husband so desires, he can have her walk round all day in basque, sussies and 6 inch heels !!. Wow, think I might convert, I mean, they can't disobey the husband, can they ? !!

Funnily enough I am trying really hard to find any JUSTICE in the situation at all.
The Law in these dictatorships is designed to keep the people suitably "cowed" and brain washed to ensure that their Leaders (religious or political) retain as much power as possible and the people are too stupid to see it.

According to Muslim law, a woman should not be in the company of a single male unless he is her father, brother or uncle. The lashes were not because she was raped, but because she contravened the above law.
I might be tempted to question the safety of a woman being accompanied by her uncle.
