Partly because western imperialism and zionism both try to use one another to achieve their goals which in many cases involve targeting the same -in most cases innocent -groups and simply because as John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt in their paper the power of AIPAC and other forms of Zionist influence in forming US foreign policy is huge.

and how did you comprehend this is a warfare for freedom? or maybe if if it would want to be characterised as a "warfare for freedom" then how is their approaches of doing so valid? As is the case, there are terrorist communities that modern-day an existential danger to Israel. Israel is entitled to do some thing about it. because that Israel is likewise a Western style democracy this is smart that america of a, which also recognizes the magnitude of combating terrorism, might want to help Israel in that company.

Sablelie says it perfectly. The arabs and the palestinians have been intent on driving the Jews into the sea since Israel was declared a nation by the UN in 1948. As a matter of fact Israel was attacked on the very first day of their sovereignty and has been attacked militarily and by individual terrorists numerous times in the past 60 years. The Israelis have always retaliated when provoked, but have not launched attacks for no reason, as have the palestinians. Any nation who teaches their toddlers, as soon as they are able to understand, that it is their duty and destiny to kill Jews, dresses them up in little uniforms with toy guns and encourages them to blow themselves up in order to be respected as heroes by their family and neighbors, deserves no support from the US. Such savages are always the enemies of civilized people and deserve no quarter. I would support the formation of a peaceful palestinian state, but creating just another terrorist state would be sheer insanity. There are already too many of them in the middle east.

Because they really arent in a struggle for freedom. They have declined to become a state and are ruled by terror organizations like Hamas that routinely murder Jews on the street as well as their own people.
Israel is a sovereign nation, our allie, and the only true democracy in the middle east.

I am guessing because there are many Jews here that are, naturally, sympathetic to Israel, and these people have power and influence. Also, in the 60s and 70s, Israel did need help, since every nation in the middle east wanted them out.

The only thing the Palestinians are struggling for is to slaughter Israelis. Those Arab barbarians have all the same freedoms as anyone else in that area, but all they seem to be concerned with is how many more school buses can they blow up.

if you do some googling, about the Bush administration and who all work there and hold key positions that have anything to do with foreign policy making or serves in a key role as a civilian intermediary between the white house and the pentagon, you will get the answer you seek. This is not rocket science. Policies are arrived at by people working to come up with one and making recommendations to their superiors. To make sure policies lean a certain direction, it stands to reason if you stack the deck with people that lean the way you want, that you will get the sought after policies.

Committing egregious acts of terrorism and murder "justified" by the warped notion that military personnel simply cause "collateral damage" when they kill innocent civilians, the United States, Israel, and their European allies have triggered a violent backlash from the denizens of the Middle East. While the violence committed by both sides is abhorrent, the violent reprisals of the Iraqi Resistance and groups like Hamas represent a rational response to invasion, terrorism, murder of civilians, and acts of genocide committed by avaricious and powerful invaders.
Aside from the obvious moral imperatives, we have several pragmatic impetuses to change our malevolent ways and redeem ourselves. Our victims out-number us. They possess both the will and the means to do us grievous harm, both militarily and economically. The days of their meek submission are long past. Iraq, Iran, nuclear proliferation, oil addiction, a notable increase in the percentage of minorities in American and European populations, and fears of "homeland" attacks are painful reminders of the increasing inability of the Caucasian-dominated West to dominate the world as it once did.

Israel is the stronghold of western imperialism in the middle east.
Whatever the ostensible motives for founding it after WW2, that is what it effectively is.
