that marijuana is illegal. its completely natural. who the hell is the government to tell me i can't use a plant that grows naturally. maybe people will open up their eyes when corn and tomatoes are being outlawed. go ahead and laugh. but know that while you are, the government is plotting to take control over everything you do. its time we woke up. its up to us to keep our privacy, its up to us to keep our rights. we are becoming less and less free everyday. even as i type, freedom is becoming illusory.

to the boss, or anyone else sharing his viewpoint... are you that ignorant to think that the governments of the world haven't plotted the complete control over their people since the inceptions thereof? it's not until recently that the population has grown to such high numbers that they would take such radical measures. but believe me, and heed my words, because they will. they are.

If you want to live under a government which is defined by laws, then you have to give up some rights. Life without an effective government is chaos. Iraq is a prime example.

The use and sale of marijuana has been illegal since 1937, so this does not show was are "becoming less and less free". However, there are other signs. The fact that the police will now search people without probable cause, and that most of our trial rights are being eroded, are new causes for concern and definite signs that we are becoming less and less free.

Marijuana wasn't legal before, so I don't really get what you mean about us becoming less free everyday.

To respond to your additional comments: I will say that I think you're being too simple minded. To a large degree a government represents the people. Admittedly it is not perfect and and there is some corruption in governments by corporate interests and the wealthy. But life is not easy and you can't simply blame the government for all your problems. I can guess that you're younger than 30 by the way you take no responsibility for it being your government and see it as 'them.'

Lay off the ganja, it's making you paranoid.

Even though I DO agree with you. Marijuana is relatively safe, MUCH safer than alcohol. It has to be about the money, everything's about the money. No one cares about the general well-being of people, If there was a sure way to make tons of money the government would legalize it. But as it is there's no profit for them.

And to people who say that it harms you mentally- that's if you're predisposed. It can't cause brain damage and only triggers mental disorders that existed anyway. It IS a lazy habit, but, hey- no lazier than what your average American does anyway.

It should at least be decriminalized. We have many people incarcerated for only smoking weed. They should be released to save the tax payers money.

Studies have shown for decades that marijuana is NOT addicting.

i hate the "big brother too"

well a wapond is natural too, you find all the materials to make a gun in nature, you find the metal and everything else.

but i agree with your how shall i say it ,, view

people have learned to make anything into a weapond
pencil
pen
sheets, make into a noose

anything available to us basically can be used as a weapond, so is big brother going to take away everything we own?

peace and love, and fight the power

the reason why marijuana is illegal is because the government wont be able to tax it.
i personally think alcohol is more dangerous.
the fact that they wont legalise it makes me angry cause i know people with medical problems that would benefit from it.

There is no benefit from smoking marijuana.

There is therefore no reason for anyone to ever consider legalizing it. It is a narcotic, and it is responsible for a large number of deaths around the country as well as mild brain damage.
