Rene Descartes was probably the only philosopher who could legitimately prove that he existed no matter what. His way of thinking went like this:
Now there are a number of possibilities as to God's existence. Either He exists and is good, in which case He wouldn't mess around with my perception of things around me, He exists and is evil, in which case I can't trust my perceptions, or He just doesn't exist, in which case I guess I can trust myself since there's nothing really changing my perception. Now, in a worst-case scenario, God is evil and everyone around me is just an illusion, some dream that God is forcing me to experience, but I know that I myself am thinking. The very fact that I am thinking is proof that I am some sort of being in some form or another. At the very least, my thoughts are proof that some entity with my mind exists, even if everything else, from my observations to my understanding of anything, is a complete illusion.
"I think, therefore I am."

You at least can be sure that you "exist" on some level, even it be only in your mind, but your existence necessarily must be based in some way upon the absolute reality, if one exists. Therefore, you may be living and perceiving absolute reality, or your entire current life may be a dream that you will day wake from to be greeted by the absolute reality of amachine-ruled world (Matrix), but either way, your current existence has some basis in absolute reality. And..if there is no such thing as absolute reality, then you exist in your mind.

Try to put yourself into a position where your life might be at risk. Say you are right on the verge of plugging into something only to find your death. If you panic, you are alive and, therefore, you do exist. I do not mean to say you gotta do it, but just think about it (mental experiment). You are what philosophers call "silent awareness". Descartes went a little bit too far on this and Matrix is the worst movie I've ever seen. As I say, just think about it, you'll understand.

well if your talking about your existance is actually a really intricate dream or your existance isn't real there is some highly complex computer attaching probes to a brain on the table and the computer is telling the brain what it sees and feels
then there is no way to know you exist
but at least you know worst case scenario your a brain on a table or your the dreamer

Stand outside under the open sky in a large plain field on a sunny day just an hour earlier than noon or an hour later than the mid-day.You will find full shadow of your body from your feet to your head. Then move your hand.....the right one or the left one and observe .....the shadow of your body also keeps moving in the same order.......and, thereafter, run in medium pace, you will notice the shadow of your body moving along with you exactly at the same pace.Isn't it a good experience to have for yourself and make yourself realise that you do exist.
God Bless

If you think you exist then who's to say otherwise...?
This is just like Sophie's World. Who is the character in a book and who is real?

Because you always have and always will. You are immortal. A spiritual being experiencing physical form for a brief moment in endless time, amnesiac of your former experience so that you can focus fully on this one. Can you possibly imagine NOT existing? I can't.
