I don't really even like Darcy for a girl... and honestly, I really don't like it for a boy. I'm sorry, I am not trying to be mean... I just wanted to give you an honest opinion.

I know a few cute little boys called Darcy and the name suits them. Also two older men who also suited the name (think it might have been popular some time ago after Les Darcy the boxer, who was a great sportsman and by accounts, a fine man). It is a bit different, like Archie or something like that, but is still not too bad as a name, in my opinion. Good luck.

Very sexy for a man (have you seen the BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice - Mr. Darcy played by Colin Firth was so hot!). Darcy is a great name for a boy as long as it goes with your surname! I met a cute little boy with that name too (when I worked as a teacher).

Honestly, I think it's sexy. It makes me think of Fitzwilliam Darcy (the insanely romantic hero of "Pride and Prejudice"). I think it is uncommon enough that it won't sound too feminine, even though Darcy is now used as a girls' name.
I just looked it up on the SSA website. As a boys' name, it ranked in the top 1000 from 1954 to 1970, which shows you have some precedent in using it for a male child. It is only slightly more popular as a girls' name: at the height of its popularity in 1968, it ranked #349 in the U.S. It has since also fallen out of the top 1000. It last ranked in 1994 as #986 for girls. I think you are safe using it for a boy.

It's very cute and handsome although it reminds me of an Irish tv and radio personality Ray D'Arcy (D'Acry being his SURNAME). If you were to use it it'd be nice spelt D'Arcy as this is a little different for a first name.

The boy's and girl's name Darcy is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "dark". Also a Norman place name, "from Arcy".

Very nice. Some friends of mine have just used this for a middle name for their new baby. I think it's lovely. Reminds me of the dashing Mr Darcy from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Lovely, masculine, handsome, romantic hero type.

For a boy.. no way..
Darcy I definately think of a girl..
I've never met a boy with a name like Darcy. I've met men with names like Tracy and Stacy.. and I noticed they seemed over masculine macho guys to compensate for the name issue I guess.. kinda like that old Johnny Cash song, a Boy Named Sue..
but Darcy.. that's pushing it too far.
